Last modified: October 26, 2024

Baby Fair is responsible for protecting the personal data of visitors and employees. We strive to protect and respect this data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, also known as GDPR.

We are happy to inform you about how we do this. We handle collected personal data confidentially and adhere to the requirements imposed on us by current privacy legislation.

Personal data
We only collect and process personal data that has been lawfully made available to us and that is necessary for the provision of our services. This includes information such as first and last name, gender, date of birth, address details, telephone number, billing details and an e-mail address. We collect special personal data when it is received based on the consent of the data subject or when this is necessary or permitted based on legal obligations. We also collect data about employees of our organization, applicants, suppliers and partners. If the personal data has not been obtained directly from the data subject, we will inform the data subject of the source from which the personal data comes.

Purposes
We will only use the personal data for the purpose for which it was provided. This is only different if we have received explicit permission for this from the data subject or if we have to comply with a legal obligation. We process personal data with regard to, among other things, client administration and personnel administration. In addition, we process personal data to comply with legal obligations, such as obligations regarding absenteeism, tax payment, salary payment, etc.

E-mail and newsletter
When you fill out a contact or registration form on our website, or send us an e-mail, the data you send us will be kept for as long as necessary based on the nature of the form or the content of your e-mail. We also offer a newsletter with which we want to inform interested parties about our products, services and related matters. This newsletter may also contain information and offers from other parties. Your email address will only be added to the list of subscribers with your explicit consent. You give permission by entering your e-mail address on the website or when registering on the website and checking the appropriate box. Every newsletter contains a link with which you can unsubscribe. The newsletter subscriber base will not be provided to third parties unless you have given explicit permission for this.

Rights of those involved

The person whose personal data is being processed has - unless there are legal grounds for exception - the right to request us to inspect and/or rectify and/or exchange the personal data and/or limit the processing in question. The data subject also has the right to object to the processing and we must transfer the data of the data subject - at his or her request. We will respond to each of the above requests within one month, unless, for example, due to complexity, this cannot be expected of us within the aforementioned period. If the processing of personal data is based on the consent of the data subject, the data subject has the right to withdraw consent at any time. The data subject has the right to file a complaint with the relevant supervisory body, namely the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Exchanging data with others
If there is a legal obligation or legitimate interest to do so, we may provide personal data to third parties. We do not share, sell, rent or trade personal data/information with third parties without permission. Transfer abroad will only take place in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation.

Security and retention period
The protection of personal data is important to you and to us. We have therefore taken various technical and organizational measures. Access to the personal data is limited to those for whom it is necessary to have insight into the personal data. The people within our organization who have insight into the personal data are obliged to treat it confidentially. In addition, we use current security techniques such as an anti-virus program and we have made agreements with our IT suppliers about how these parties take sufficient measures to guarantee that personal data is and remains safe there. We store personal data for as long as we deem necessary to fulfill the purpose for which the data was collected. When the collected personal data is no longer needed, we delete it in a secure manner. Applicant data will be kept for a period of four weeks. For the other data we use the legally established retention periods.
